Membership, Blog, and/or Support Group?

Wondering which is the best way for you to get the latest CIRS information and resources?
By Patti Schmidt SurvivingMold.com content editor & health coachA few people have asked about the differences between SurvivingMold.com’s membership, newsletter, blog, and Facebook postings. Here’s a review of what they offer: SurvivingMold.com membership: A Surviving Mold membership is a gateway to a more interactive experience. Membership grants you
- access to the world's leading expert on biotoxin related illness
- access to members-only special offers and other free materials
Membership is $19.50 per month. Alternatively, you can receive a free 30-day trial to just the premium site content by purchasing one or more online VCS screening tests.
SurvivingMold.com blog posts: Our new blog offers daily posts Monday through Friday and a more substantive article each week. You can sign up at http://www.survivingmold.com/news/. (The link to subscribe via email or RSS is on the right). At the end of the week, all of the week’s posts are aggregated into our newsletter, which goes out to our blog subscribers and our entire email database.
Facebook: SurvivingMold.com’s Facebook page offers another source of receiving our latest blog posts and additional information, and we post links to the longer articles, too.
CIRS Telephone Support Groups: Our CIRS Support Groups are designed to allow those with mold and similar chronic illnesses to support, empower and encourage one another, to lessen isolation, and to swap helpful information and resources. Each group of 4 to 6 people meets by telephone for 60 minutes per week for 8 weeks, and group members also often swap contact information so they can be supportive offline during the rest of the week as well. A special hour-long meeting with CIRS specialist Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker, M.D. is included, and only those currently signed up for our CIRS Support Groups are able to attend and ask questions. The fee for new group members' 8-week sessions is $179.99; the fee for ongoing groups is $159.99 (just $19.99 per session). Group session times are coordinated with interested members. Contact Patti Schmidt at pattischmidt9@yahoo.com to find out more. Many more resources are available in the SurvivingMold.com store, including videos, presentations, publications, journal articles and books, information about Shoemaker certified physicians, treatment FAQs, eBooks, and information on medications used in the Shoemaker protocol.
