Jennifer Smith

Dr. Jennifer L. Smith, NMD, or Dr. Jenn as patients fondly call her, is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor certified in both Environmental and Swiss Biological Medicine and the Founder of SilverTree Wellness Center. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies from Arizona State University. She completed her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. After graduating, she was granted a one-year residency at the American Center for Biological Medicine with Dickson Thom, DDS, ND and Jeoffrey Drobot, NMD. She has trained extensively in complex chronic disease and Lyme disease. Additionally, she completed a one-year certification in environmental medicine with Walter Crinnion, ND.

Dr. Smith embarked upon the journey to become certified in chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS) after her best friend became deathly ill due to an exposure to mold. It took 2 years before her friend was able to find a physician trained to help her. This physician, a certified “Shoemaker” physician, was able to restore her health.

After hearing Dr. Shoemaker lecture on CIRS and the biotoxin pathway, it resonated with her. It was the missing piece that she had been searching for since the beginning of her career in medicine. She feels honored to have been given the opportunity to become certified in Dr. Shoemaker’s protocol and to be a part of such a prestigious group of specialists in the “surviving mold” family.

Dr. Smith takes an integrative, holistic view of her patients’ healthcare issues. She blends both naturopathic approaches with conventional treatment styles. She incorporates treatment not only to address physical ailments but also to address the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of her patients. Her drive and compassion to get to the underlying cause of illness is what keeps her constantly searching for innovative ideas and solutions to help her patients regain their health.

When not at work, Dr Smith enjoys spending time with her family and her two grandchildren, being out in nature, photography, watching movies and studying spirituality. Her roots in the Colorado Rockies anchored her love of nature and the outdoors, and she is an avid Broncos Fan!
