Dave W. Ou, MD, graduated Cum Laude in Physics with Distinction in All Subjects from Cornell University. He received his M.D. from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. He has been board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine since 1999.
His training in integrative medicine is most influenced by Dietrich Klinghardt, M.D. His is currently in the process of certification with the Klinghardt Academy.
Dr. Ou first started to look into Dr. Shoemaker’s work in 2010 when he realized a large proportion of his patients had Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome from water damaged buildings and Lyme Disease. He became certified in the Shoemaker Protocol in 2014. He has also trained with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM), International Lyme and Affiliated Diseases Society (ILADS), American College for the Advancement in Medicine (ACAM), and the Academy of Comprehensive Integrative Medicine. He is also certified in several modalities of energetic medicine. His office has served as a training site for medical students and residents of local medical schools.
He works with adults with chronic conditions such as fatigue, brain fog, trouble with short term memory and concentration, digestive disorders and hormone disorders (male, female, adrenal, thyroid, Hashimoto's), which are often associated with CIRS. Most of his patients are complex with multiple medical problems and have seen many other conventional, alternative, and integrative doctors with limited success.
Dr. Ou has a limited number of openings for new adult patients for consultations.
Interested patients should review the new patient paperwork located on the website prior to contacting him for an appointment.
